Rangboom™ is a service of 9Netics, Inc. Founded in 2003, 9Netics is dedicated to developing distributed computing products and services that give consumers and businesses immediate and secure remote access to their computing resources from anywhere on the Internet.

Skip Tavakkolian: Founder - CEO/CTO
An entrepreneur and inventor, Skip has a distinguished record with a number of successful start-ups in the Seattle area in the past 20 years. Before founding 9Netics, Skip managed several software development groups and projects at RealNetworks, including the development of the RealMedia (Helix) architecture. Before joing RealNetworks, Skip was the Chief Engineer for Claircom (later part of AT&T Wireless), the developer and provider of AirOne aircraft telephony products and services.

Bruce Ellis: Chief Software Architect.
Bruce is a software researcher and developer with over 25 years of industry experience. Prior to joining 9Netics, he was a Member of Technical Staff at Bell Labs for six years where he worked on the Inferno operating system and the Pathstar and Starburst products. Bruce has been involved in many interesting projects, among them one of the earliest Go game programs goanna, and the famous Mark V. Shaney.

Contributors
Past members of the team who have made significant contributions to the development of Rangboom include Russ Cox and Geoff Collyer.

9Netics technology is based on the concepts, ideas, and open source code of Plan 9™ from Bell Labs. In 2002, Plan 9 Fourth Edition was released under an OSI certified Open Source license. Rangboom has benefited from the work of the original Plan 9 team and the Plan 9 community.
